Happy belated Easter to all! I sure hope everyone got their fair share of Easter dinner :) I know we sure did, we went to our friends Paige and Pauls house with a few other couples from our Bible studies. I think there were 11 of us total. It was a nice day though. We had ham and a fried turkey (my first one ever and it was tasty!) dairyman's potatoes, a 7 layer salad, green beans, and some other stuff and homemade ice cream over lemon lemon cake for dessert. Wonderful! but we did not search or hide any eggs. The Easter bunny even skipped over our house :( Our church service was packed, we only went to one service, i had originally planned to sing in one and then sit with derek through the other one, but then at the last minute decided to sing and let derek sit by himself (with our friends) so i sang, and it must have been really hot on stage because at the end of the service when we stood up for the final prayer and altar call, i blacked out and fell into my seat, then i went off stage because my head felt really bloated and my ears were full. luckily derek had his eye on me and came to check on me back stage. (the heat prolly wouldn't have been so bad, except i was and am very sunburnt - i had the bright idea of going to the beach on saturday, and the last time we went, we stayed about 2 hours and i didn't get any color at all and i was not wearing sunscreen, so i thought to myself that it would be okay to not wear sunscreen again and maybe i would get some color. i sure did! but as in the title of this blog, i match the lobsters and the tomatoes rather than becoming a bronzed beauty...very painful, i took the day off from work yesterday so i wouldn't have to wear any clothing :) so my semester is winding down now. i have two tests this week and if i get a's on both of them i will be done with those classes because both finals are optional :) i am studying real hard so i can be done with them. it's almost time for me to buy books for my summer semester. i can't believe it!
so julia, your prom is coming up! how exciting, you'll have to be sure to post lots of pictures and tell us how everything went. you are so pretty and wonderful, no wonder all the boys wanted to ask you. also - congratulations on all you record breaking jumps! i knew those jumping beans i gave you would pay off :)
so snow on easter sunday - how crazy is that? we have had record breaking temperatures here - it is supposed to be in the 90s today and tomorrow. we also haven't had any water for a long time and we are having to deal with lots of wildfires. so i'll send som heat to you in idaho, if you'll send some moisture to us - sound like a deal?
sounds like louis and shannon have it made in seattle! wonderful weather and baby Henry on the way! That's neat that you now have the same boss at Microsoft as at bsquare - what a small world! Hopefully your hours are getting less and less. I am so excited to see everyone! we miss you all!
love
sharon
