Bokma Bonfire 2011

Here are photos from the annual bonfire in the Bokma pasture, (right in front of our home), last night. The junior high and high school groups ( approx. 100 kids and adults), from our church came out for 2 hours of fun, games and food. Willie loves having the bonfire here every fall, it creates good memories for the kids and allows him to clean up trash wood from all of the farms. He trys to interact with most of the kids, last night he even joined in on the games. The weather was perfect; calm dry and clear. Tyler was a BIG help, in the BBQ photo he is roasting hot dogs!

We had bonfires here each fall when our kids were still at home, now we have one for the church youth groups. We aren't sure but this must the 12th year that we've hosted a bonfire, it has become a wonderful tradition. (An added perk is that my garage gets completely cleaned-up).

What a great way to share the blessings in your life with others. I am so glad that you do this for the kids :)
