We always knew we'd be famous.....

So..... Here are the pictures from our murder mystery dinner. As you can see, Marily Monroe, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Judy Garland, Rita Hayworth, Bob Marley, Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball and many more all graced us with their presence. Sorry to say, somebody did do it (It was Jimi Hendrix, with the electric guitar, in the entertainment room, the unlucky victim - Jerry Oilman, the host of this extravagant party) Needless to say, we had a very good time and I got a new pair of shoes and a new liquid eyeliner out of the deal. Derek, on the other hand, got some new sideburns and a fan club consisting of teenage girls begging him to show him his blue suede shoes (which if you look closely, they're there :)

The happenings in Pensacola, other than being famous, have been lots of pecan picking and a few interviews for me (Sharon). I am not necessarily looking for a new job, just kinda allowing myself to be available if any doors happen to open (or windows). Hopefully I will be hearing back from them within the next few weeks. I will keep you posted. For Derek's work, they are starting into their end of year pushes to meet goals. He has done a wonderful job with his new boss Laura, and he still really enjoys the insurance business.
We are both very excited to see all of you in about 2 weeks! We are already counting down the days and getting the presents wrapped (and some still on the shelves in the store, ready and waiting for us....I mean Derek, to come pick them up).
School for me is going well - all of my classes are looking pretty positive. Some, of course, are easier than others, but this week and next week have been a blitz of tests. So far they have gone well, but it's back to studying a bunch this weekend.
We are so happy to have all of our family back to their home turf safe and sound. We are also very glad to see some postings from those adventures. We are looking forward to Louis' pictures and narration from China (Derek is still looking for a Christmas list - careful Louis - you may end up with a gift card!!!!)
It's probably about time for me to sign off for now though - Dutch was just caught chewing on one of our pleasant roach motels (our rates are low and the foods great :) so we have spent the better half of the last hour on the phone with the emergency vet and the poison control center. Turns out, it's the same stuff that they put in his heart worm medication, just cheaper - plus it already comes in peanut butter so you don't even have to force it down the dogs throat - he loves it! (Not that this is doctor recommended, but he'll be okay)
Love to all
Sharon
