Hello to all of my most wonderful family!
We are really excited here because Julia broke the school record yesterday at her track meet! She jumped 14'7" in the long jump, placing 3rd out of 15 schools! She also ran the 100 meter dash and did the triple jump. She also got a bad sunburn on her face, it will save her on using rouge for a few days. If baby Henry is a mexican jumping bean, he must be taking after Julia!
Uncle Bob has been in town for several days, he stayed at our home. This morning he is flying back to DC. Last night all the Bokma's had dinner together at the Garden Cafe in honor of Bob. Johanna brought Eric Brubaker as her date, Julia brought Ambur.
On Tuesday there was a tornado that went through Hagerman. Papa's book depository was blown over, he stored his antique books, vases ect in it. Sad, since none of those items can be replaced. Papa was on the Boise news on Wednesday night along with several other Hagerman residents whose property received damage. Papa had taken some photos of the funnel cloud which were used on the news report.
Dad's foot is less swollen, it's not as black looking. It looked like he had a really bad case of frost bite on it. He is still having some discomfort as it heals, (trouble sleeping).
We meet in DC in only one month, I hope that everyone is making a list of the places that they'd most like to visit. Adry is planning on us having dinner at her home on Mother's day. I still can hardly believe that we got the home on Capital Hill, the VIP area of course! I arranged the home and van rental, so I'm content to leave the travel plans while there up to all of you.
Dad and Julia are both leading worship tomorrow,(singing).
I've already mowed the grass two times this year. It's coming back so nice and thick and green. My tulips, daffidils, crocus and hyacyniths are all blooming. My yard is looking so beautiful!
We're having some employee turnover at the dairy. Both Juans are making plans to work elsewhere, so we have an ad in the paper. We have had good results so far, one new guy started yesterday as a feeder.
May the Lord Bless and Protect you and give you Peace. ~mama b~
