99th blog!!!

hi ya'll
i really wanted to be the one to post the 100th blog on this site, but i really didn't want to wait any longer so i suppose i will settle for being the 99th... it's sad, but i think through years of counseling i'll make it through.
so boy oh boy, derek and i were disappointed to see the seahawks lose. i think that in different circumstances they would have been able to win (possibly with different referees....) the superbowl commercials were great though. i was very impressed - i think my favorite one was the sprint commercial and the phone with the crime deterrant (anyone remember that one) the ameriquest mortgage company had some good ones too. our superbowl party went very well. we bought lots of drinks and had rootbeer and orange crush floats. people didn't drink as much beer as we expected so we are now stuck with a lot of corona and bud light. too bad for us... i guess it will eventually get drank. we also were left with 3 bags of tostitos - we had asked people to bring finger foods, and 6 people brought tostitos and cheese dip (wow!!!)
joslyn called yesterday to let us know they are going to be here the weekend of the 16th (so in less than two weeks) so that is very exciting for us. I think they will be able to stay for the weekend and then they are going to spend some time in orlando. but, for anyone who didn't realize what weekend that was for us, it is the weekend that we have been planning for our tennessee trip to go skiing. just on this past saturday, the main couple that we had planned this trip with backed out, which made the cost increase for everyone else, so with all the people who had said they wanted to go, we are down to 3 people going (derek, me, and kate - a friend of mine from work) this may create an akward situation for kate, so we probably will cancel the trip and forgo our deposit - which we will make katy and guy split with us and cancel it. i am pretty sad about the whole situation, kind of perturbed about it too... what a bunch of flakes! but it may work out just right with jos and rob being here - they did say if we go to tn, they will rearrange their trip to hit pensacola on their way back to mi instead of on the way down.
school is going well for me. i have taken two tests so far and have another one thursday. i think i have gotten a's or high b's on the two i have taken so far. i was real diligent with studying when i first started, but the motivation has declined slowly...
shannon - that is so exciting you are starting to actually feel the baby - you must be so excited. how is the job with microsoft going? there is a girl in my bible study that is pregnant as well - she's a very cute pregnant lady - we had a shower for her last weekend.
i hope everyone is doing well, our weather is finally getting cooler (yea!) i hope we have a very cold next few months, cool the ocean water down some...
i sure am enjoying married life - next week it will be 6 months! it seems like such a short time. it actually is the day before valentines day. what is everyone doing for v-day? we have decided not to exchange gifts, our ski trip we going to be our gift to ourselves, if we don't go i don't know what we will do. last friday we went to a fancy restarant called the global grill. it was so good!!! they have these things called tapas - they are kind of like an appetizer, kind of like a small main entree, so what you do is pick a couple of them to make up your meal so you get to try a few things. i had never heard of it before but the food was excellent. i suppose that could be our special valentines day dinner, we'll see what happens :)
i think thats about it for now!
love you all!
sharon
