Happy Happy Spring!

Crocus in my garden

I will give an update to some of the events in our family during the last 6 months.

Baptism of Korbin William Hyink- October 10 2010

Dedication of Della Rose Poppell -January 30 2011

Valerie's dads 85th Birthday! January 20 2011

On that exact same day my niece Jennifer Prieto, (my brother Steve's oldest daughter) gave birth to her 5th child and named him Louis Koopman Prieto! My dad was naturally very honored by their choice of names. He still keeps busy with business, farm and wood projects, buying and selling properties and houses. (He doesn't seem to be acting his age). :)

All of our children gave Willie and I a gift certificate to a cooking class for our 31st Wedding Anniversary last December 29. We were finally able to attend a class a few weeks ago. The Class that we attended was "Breakfast with Cristina". We loved the class, we have never done any thing like it before. Cristina is an (italian) chef who has her own restaurant in Sun Valley. Willie even went up front to help Cristina poach some eggs.

Here is a poem written by One Unforgettable Woman , Audrey Hepburn

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you'll never walk alone....

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed and redeemed...

Never throw out anybody. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm.

As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

May God Richly Bless All of you during this Easter/Lenten Season

I'm so glad you and dad enjoyed the cooking class! And that's really neat about Poppa. He just keeps chugging along. :] We've got three new babies in the family, right? Allie, Joslyn and Jen. Wowy wow. Our family is hugemongous!

Also, I think that poem is by Sam Levenson. It was one of Audrey's favorite poems. I did a poem on Audrey in high school and used it. It's always been one of my favorites.
