Congratulations Derek Poppell!!!!!!!

That is sooooo great that you passed your series 6 exam Derek. Way to go, you smartie pants! We had no concerns that you wouldn't pass. At. All.

Now for the story on Dutch, I had no idea, does he? Or,as his agent do you keep his actual worth a secret from him? I have no everyday grand-doggie. Thanks for sharing the pimp my cage article with us. It could be time to submit this story to the publishers, you need to get this news out!

Papa was in the hospital a few days ago. He fell, and since he is on blood thinner, he got a large hematoma on the inside of his elbow. It spread and now his entire left arm is swollen and bruised, he can't bend it, he says that it feels like a sore log. I'm sad that he has so many health issues. He can't even feed himself, cause his right arm tremmers too much. Dad and I visited him yesterday, and brought him some large straws so that he can drink his oatmeal and soup.

Jake's wedding and celebration is still scheduled for December 22. Dad says that we can't be away from the dairy at that time of year, so we won't be going. However, it looks like dad and I will be going to Mexico this month, with the United Dairymen of Idaho. Ootober 21-28 are the dates, dad's trip will be paid for. It is to investigate the possibility of making and marketing Mexican cheese. This is during the same time that Louis will be in China, Korea and Hong Kong.

Our leaves have been turning the beautiful shades of fall. The weather has been soft and gentle, my favorite kind. God's paintbrush gives the most beautiful of colors to us.

We went to Justin Lloyd's wedding on Saturday. It was in their backyard, right next door to our dairy. Our corn choppers had to shut down early that day, as the silage pit packer is a huge machine that make's way too much noise to hear a flute play "here come's the bride"! Our corn chopper guys weren't happy, Lloyd's weren't happy, they called 30 mintues before the wedding and said that they still heard equipment noise. Well, it all worked out, it got quiet just in time for the flute prelude, WHEW!. The smells weren't too greenish. Dad was a bit tense. The wedding was beautiful, the reception was very special, a light meal. Johnny served some beer that he had make and bottled himself, 3 different kinds! After being there for 3 hours 15 min, we had decided to leave, when we heard a loud voice say "nobody leaves now, I haven't danced with my daugther yet"! Teresa's dad had been VERY vocal during the whole event. We still left anyway,as Julia had a volleyball game that we were headed too. That was a strange thing. There were very few people there, maybe 45. The weather was beautiful, they had a perfect settting for a wedding.

Love to All ~mom~
